Global Business Mobility Visa is a new immigration route proposed by the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC).
This proposed route aims to improve the UK’s “mobility offer” for businesses looking to set up a UK subsidiaries or send secondees to UK based businesses that are party to high value contracts.
Global Business Mobility (GBM) Visa will be launched next spring as an all encompassing category of visas to replace temporary visas currently available to businesses.
The new visa will streamline the intra-company transfer and sole representative routes and bring the two under the same new and improved single pathway.
It will provide an easier process for foreign-based firms to set up UK offices and transfer staff to the UK.
According to the Home Office, the route will have five sub-categories for different types of foreign employees and graduate trainees.
